In August, 87,455 TEUs were handled, in addition to the largest volume handled on a single ship by the company, totaling 2,083 movements on the ship “Cap San Lorenzo”
For the second consecutive month, TCP – the company that manages the Container Terminal of Paranaguá, recorded a record of container handling when operating 87,455 TEUs in August, 8.8% up compared to the same month of 2019, when 80,388 TEUs were handled. In the accumulated result for the year (January to August), the total movement is 646,630 TEUs, exceeding 7.0% the same period last year, when the accumulated value was 606,410 TEUs.
In addition to the general movement mark, the terminal also broke the movement record performed on a single vessel, with 2,083 movements on the “CAP San Lorenzo”, operated on August 31. The previous record had been registered on October 12, 2017, when the terminal made 2,037 movements on the ship “Maersk Lins”.
In July, TCP had set three records: the handling of full containers; export and full containers, and export of reefer containers.
