The Portos do Paraná Innovation Committee held this Thursday (11) the first meeting of the working group. The objective is to unify the study and implementation of innovation projects, fostering human and technological capital for the creation of an innovative ecosystem in public companies.
For the CEO of Portos do Paraná, Luiz Fernando Garcia, the initiative is an important step with an eye on the future and the modernization of ports in Paraná.
“With the committee, the company will be structured to receive and analyze initiatives aimed at the area of innovation”, he explains. “With this, the ports of Paraná tend to increase operational and economic returns, in addition to seeking improvements in the port-city relationship and with the entire port community”, he says.
The committee was created following a collegiate decision at the 1st Strategic Analysis Meeting (RAE) in 2023. Since then, a multidisciplinary team made up of seven professionals who already carry out activities with innovation initiatives in the company’s seven departments has been responsible for curating: Honorato Chudson, Barbara Priscila kaiser, Mauricio Roberto da Silva, Anna Caroline Fermino de Souza, Dayanna Bonafini, Vader Zuliane Braga, William Koch.
Projects must be linked to Research, Development and Innovation, within six thematic axes: Operations, Environment, Port City Relationship, Sustainable Socioeconomic Development, Technological Development, Public Management.
Among the functions of the committee is participation in events and meetings with companies, startups and partner ports focused on the development of national and international innovation projects. The progress of the projects will be periodically presented to the Board of Directors and Executive Board of the public company.
For the coordinator of the Portos do Paraná Innovation Committee, Honorato Chudson, the group will help the public company in the results. “The idea is to take advantage of the initiatives available with startups and other companies and transform this technological development into smart solutions for the port environment”, he highlights.
EVENT – Portos do Paraná has intensified its actions in the area of innovation. On April 13th and 14th, representatives of the public company participated in the 3rd Edition of Inova Portos.
The event, hosted this year by the Superintendence of the Port of Itajaí, in Santa Catarina, is aimed at the port sector with a focus on the culture of innovation and bringing technological solutions to the Brazilian port sector.
