The public company Portos do Paraná received 1,500 people a day at the stand installed at Intermodal South America, the largest event in the logistics sector in Latin America, held from Tuesday (28) to Thursday (02), in São Paulo. The space also housed 21 companies from the port community, partners of Portos do Paraná. The evaluation was that the joint participation valued the ports of Paraná. The movement of visitors was considered one of the indicators of the event’s potential to foster business.
Along with Portos do Paraná, the companies Aocep, Ascensus Group, Bunge, Cargill, Cattalini, Centrosul, Cimbessul, Coamo, Cotriguaçu, DTS, Fospar, Harbor, InterAlli, Klabin, Louis Dreyfus Company, Tibagi, Pasa, FTS Group, Rock, Marcon, Multitrans. They went to prospect new businesses and present their products and services.
“The participation in Intermodal was a unique moment to expand business opportunities at an international level”, said the director-president of Portos do Paraná, Luiz Fernando Garcia. “The presence of companies that make up the port community of the State in a single stand shows the union of the sector. The increase in visitors to our stand demonstrates the recognition and trust placed in our ports,” he said.
In the 240 square meter stand, a Mega X-Ray was also installed, with an interactive screen and sensors, in Portuguese and English; and a podcast recording studio, with episodes broadcast live from the fair on YouTube.
BALANCE – In the opinion of the partners, a unique stand that brings together several companies values the ports of Paraná. Rodrigo Araújo, Ascensus Group’s head of ports, highlighted the company’s participation for the first time in Intermodal. “This vision of Portos do Paraná of understanding that it is a group of companies and bringing them all together at the stand demonstrates a lot of strength. It was an opportunity to officially join the port community of Paraná”, he said.
Opinion shared by Luciano Denardi, from DTS Log, a company that also debuted at Intermodal. “I think that from the fair we will have many developments in the coming weeks in relation to the commercial contacts we made”, he said. For Pasa’s administrative and financial manager, Osvaldo Inácio, Intermodal brings a series of benefits to partners. “The fair brings together the players that operate in the ports of Paraná and, together, we can defend and sell the State”, he explained.
The Aocep representative, Sandro Heck, highlighted the representativeness of Paraná ports in an international fair. “We did not expect such a large audience in this edition. Paranaguá shows that, more and more, it is solidifying itself in the market, ”he said.
