Waiting time of vessels in the Ports of Paraná decreased 46%

Considering the quarters of 2018 and 2019, the main products handled in the segment were sack sugar, fertilizer, boilers, cellulose, containers, steel rails and vehicles.

“In Paranaguá, the general cargo is moved in different berths of the public dock. Usually, the operations of these cargoes involve services with specialized on-board equipment such as cranes, local road transport, forklifts, “says Luiz Teixeira da Silva Júnior.

CONTAINERS – The port of Paranaguá registered a 14% increase in the number of containers received from imports. There were 96,039 TEUs handled in the three months of 2019, against 84,530 in 2018. The main imported cargoes were fertilizers and plastic. In exports, growth was 5%, with 99,023 units moved. The most traded products were frozen and wood.

VEHICLES – From January to March, there were 23,516 vehicles moved through Paranaguá. Imports stood at 8,295 vehicles, 9% more than total imports in 2018.

ANTONINA – The drive through the port of Antonina continues to grow. There were 268,167 tons of products accumulated this year. The number is 172% higher than the same period last year (105,034). It is worth noting the 260% increase in the movement of fertilizers: 62 thousand tons in the first quarter of 2018 and 223,834 tons in 2019.

GRANEIS – Soybeans remain the main bulk handled via Paraná ports. In March, 1,178,618 tonnes were exported. In export, also appear the bran (626,495toneladas), corn (152,251) and sugar (102,751).

In import, the highlight is the fertilizer: 542.329 tons. The State also received 105,495 tonnes of wheat and 29,311 tonnes of barley / malt.

LIQUIDS – The export of vegetable oils amounted to 88,583 tons in March 2019. Petroleum products accounted for 40,558 tons in exports and 359,831 tons in imports.
