The Largest Port of Southern Brazil, involved mainly in the exportation of grains – the main bulk- carrier Port of Latin America and the largest exporter of soy of Brazil . It is continuously increasing the exportation and importation of vehicles and containers.

It possesses a dock area endowed with 13 Slips with a sea-gauge differentiated between 28' to 39' feet. It allows for the simultaneous connection of 12 to 14 ships from small coastal traffic up to the super-bulk-carriers with 270 meters in length.

The access canal is one of the most secure of the Southern Atlantic Ocean , with a distance of 15 miles between the entrance of the Galheta canall to the maneuver basin, with the sea-gauge varying between 42' to 54' feet.

The anchor area is divided into 12 diversified numbers from the most varied situations and types of ships with the sea-gauge between 20' to 45' feet. The Exportation corridor is composed by several horizontal and vertical silos, inside the area and outlet area of the Port, with a stationary capacity of 1,215,000 tons, being the principal point for the complex bulk-carrier of APPA(silâo). The Port of Paranaguá relies on 5 docking points for shipping of cereals and their by-products along the commercial piers endowed with 6 ship loaders.

Terminal of Vehicles - the largest area destined to the yard of vehicles, also granted the government's concession for the exploration of the installed Assemblies. It also has an area for public use.

Outside of the Commercial Pier, in a safe distance, are the Inflammable Docks, and private Piers of liquid and fertilizing products.

In the market of alcohol and sugar, Porto of Paranaguá has been a strong point of reference for the flow of the sugarcane derivatives assisting the increasing demand of this product in several Brazilian states, possessing appropriate and private terminals for exportation of the sugar in bulk and alcohol, besides public piers for shipment of packed sugar.





The Terminal Barão do Teffe – Enables the movement of solid bulk materials through the transhipment system at large. The support is given by two boats (capacity of 5,000t), funnel and cranes (180 t / hour). This terminal is made available for general shipment / containers.

The Port Terminal of Ponta do Felix - with piers of 360m of extension - allowing a connection of 2 ships simultaneously - and yard for 2,300 containers, with 200 outlets for refrigerating containers. It has 3 warehouses for general shipment, one with 2,500m2 (capacity of 10,000m3) and two with 3,125m2 each (capacity of 18,000m3).

Besides its main purpose as a refrigerating terminal, the Port Terminal of Ponta do Felix is investing in structure logistics to diversify its market, looking for new shipment divisions of iron, fertilizer and packed sugar.

With a sea-gauge approximately 7.5 meters in depth, the terminal is 8 miles from Porto of Paranaguá.





With an excellent marine infrastructure, once located in the Bay of Babitonga , it possesses an access canal with 11 meters in depth and four connection slips with depths approximately between 8 and 11 meters.

It possesses a wide maneuver basin of calm waters, making it easier for ships that pass through it.

São Francisco do Sul has the characteristic of an excellent geographical position. The maneuver basin and the access canal have privileged dimensions and depth, making it the best natural port in the southern part of the country.

Among the detached port equipments is a stretch of railroad, which extends to the pier and allows railroad cars to utilize the loading and unloading shipment system of products at the same time. By conveyer belts or lines, soy bran or vegetable oil can be sent directly to the ship or deposited at the enclosed warehouses attached to the port.

Porto of São Francisco do Sul is the production gateway of Santa Catarina to the world. The rail network  connects  the  port  with  several  economically  important  areas. It is accessible
to São Paulo , Porto Alegre and the west of Paraná, as well as the entire MERCOSUL, interconnecting the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans.





With only 750 meters of pier and four slips for the connection of ships, Porto of Itajaí presented the largest growth among the main ports of Brazil in the last five years. In agreement with the numbers of the Ministry of Development, Industry and External Trade (MOIC), the port “Itajaiense” increased 282% between 2000 and 2005."

In the movement of containers at the port of Itajaí is at the top of  the   list. The  terminal  is   the  second   in  the  country   in 
movement of containers. The shipment of containers represents 94% of the movement of the terminal. Being the first position of infrastructure of cold cuts in the country, it provides to the port terminals the primary exportation of Brazilian frozen goods. Also it benefits the outlying area of the logistics services rendered that involves the sector.
 
Adding the growing maneuver of this Port, it was renovated recently, into a wooden compound, for the breakbulk type of exportation.
